Introduction

The safety and security of our users is of utmost importance to Verkx. To support this commitment, we provide an SOS feature within our platform. This feature is designed to help users escalate urgent safety-related situations that may occur during a work order or service engagement. The following terms explain the scope, use, and limitations of the SOS feature. By using Verkx, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

Purpose of the SOS Feature

The SOS feature is intended for use in emergencies, including but not limited to:

  • Threats to personal safety during a work order.

  • Incidents of harassment, violence, or discrimination.

  • Unsafe working environments that put professionals or customers at risk.

  • Urgent disputes requiring immediate intervention.

The SOS feature provides a channel for raising an alert with Verkx’s support team and, where necessary, connecting with relevant authorities or resources.

How the SOS Feature Works

When a user activates SOS through the Verkx platform:

  1. A priority alert is sent to the Verkx support team.

  2. The team reviews the case and may contact the user for verification.

  3. Depending on the severity, Verkx may escalate the issue to emergency services or local authorities.

  4. A record of the incident is maintained for compliance and investigation purposes.

User Responsibilities

The SOS feature is to be used only in genuine emergencies. Users agree not to misuse or trigger false alarms through the system. Misuse may result in penalties, account suspension, or termination. Users are also responsible for providing accurate and timely information when prompted during an SOS escalation.

Limitations of Liability

While Verkx endeavors to respond to SOS alerts promptly, users acknowledge and agree that:

  • Verkx is not a substitute for emergency services such as the police, fire, or medical authorities.

  • Verkx cannot guarantee immediate resolution of every emergency.

  • Verkx is not liable for delays, failure of communication, or inability to prevent harm arising from incidents.

  • Users should contact local emergency services directly when urgent help is required.

Data & Privacy in SOS Incidents

When an SOS alert is raised, Verkx may collect and share certain personal or service-related data with authorities or emergency responders as required to handle the incident. All such data will be processed in accordance with the Verkx Privacy Policy.

Enforcement

Reports made through the SOS system are taken seriously. Verified misuse of the SOS feature may result in warnings, financial penalties, suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.

Policy Updates

Verkx reserves the right to amend this SOS Terms & Policy as needed. Updates will be communicated on our website, and continued use of the SOS feature constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
